This fox, sleeping peacefully under the gentle light of fireflies, is a metaphor for the Biblical narrative of the Pillar of Fire that accompanied the Israelites by night during their Exodus from Egypt. It signified God’s presence, protection, and guidance ensuring that they had no need to fear but could rest in the knowledge that they were kept safe.
