I have always loved corvids of every feather, from the cheeky chattering Jackdaw to the wise-eyed Crow and the magnificent Raven. It saddens me that corvids are often viewed with suspicion, dislike and superstition, especially crows and ravens, and are symbolically synonymous with death, doom and darkness. Yet most corvids are sociable, playful and mischievous and, I think, irrepressibly charming.
