I wanted to capture the characterful face of a Highland Cow in this charcoal drawing.

Growing up in Glasgow I would often visit the resident ‘Coos’ in Pollok Park, a vast country estate in the Southside of the city, which is home to a fold of these wonderful animals. Gentle, friendly and ever-so-cuddly, these Scottish beasts were a source of delight to my young animal loving heart.
